Lingmala waterfalls.

Mahabaleshwar is a tourist attraction with lot of magnificent places to visit. Lingmala waterfall is one of the best attraction here. It is located 6 km away from Mahabaleshwar city. One can reach to this location through own vehicle or taxies hired at Mahabaleshwar. We pay an entry fee of Rs. 20/- per person here but we can observe that the location is really maintained well by the trust. A well built foothpath leads us to the cliff opposite to this waterfall. There is a small bridge on the stream of waterfall that can be seen on the way. After a walk of 7-10 mins we reach the spot and what we experience is something heavenly. It is a waterfall that falls down from a height of 500 feet with a lot of noise made by its water. We can see a beautiful view of resorts and hotels on the opposite mountain, giving a feel of northen hill spots like darjeeling, manali etc. The waterfall falls in two steps and gives a great view in all the seasons. It is a must see place during Mahabaleshwar visit.

It has two locations 1) Duh (Small waterfall) 2) Dhabdhabha (Big Waterfall) .
There is one small and one big Lingmala Waterfall. From the main entrance you have to walk less than half km through the park to reach the smaller fall, and maybe about a km to reach the bigger one. If you go during the late winter or summer you won't find water flowing through the bigger fall and hardly any water flowing thro' the smaller one. Even then it is worth it to go to this place, since the walk through the park itself is absolutely wonderful. Also when you reach the bigger falls site, you will see a gorgeous view of one of the many M'war valleys.

The falls apparently gets its name from the look of a Lingmala (garland around a Lingam). The best time to visit Lingmala waterfall is July to October (or November) during monsoon season. During the entire rainy season it has a great flow of water. You may experience heavy rainfall and lovely clouds following you during evening.

The 5 Biggest Stock Market Myths

1. Investing in Stocks Is Just Like Gambling.
This reasoning causes many people to shy away from the stock market. To understand why investing in stocks is inherently different from gambling, we need to review what it means to buy stocks. A share of common stock is ownership in a company. It entitles the holder to a claim on assets as well as a fraction of the profits that the company generates. Too often, investors think of shares as simply a trading vehicle, and they forget that stock represents the ownership of a company.

In the stock market, investors are constantly trying to assess the profit that will be left over for shareholders. This is why stock prices fluctuate. The outlook for business conditions is always changing, and so are the future earnings of a company.

2. The Stock Market Is an Exclusive Club For Brokers and Rich People.
Many market advisors claim to be able to call the markets' every turn. The fact is that almost every study done on this topic has proven that these claims are false. Most market prognosticators are notoriously inaccurate; furthermore, the advent of the internet has made the market much more open to the public than ever before. All the data and research tools previously available only to brokerages are now there for individuals to use.

Actually, individuals have an advantage over institutional investors because individuals can afford to be long-term oriented. The big money managers are under extreme pressure to get high returns every quarter. Their performance is often so scrutinized that they can't invest in opportunities that take some time to develop. Individuals have the ability to look beyond temporary downturns in favor

3. Fallen Angels Will Go Back up, Eventually.
Whatever the reason for this myth's appeal, nothing is more destructive to amateur investors than thinking that a stock trading near a 52-week low is a good buy. Think of this in terms of the old Wall Street adage, "Those who try to catch a falling knife only get hurt."

4. Stocks That Go up Must Come Down.
The laws of physics do not apply in the stock market. There's no gravitational force to pull stocks back to even. Over 10 years ago, Berkshire Hathaway's stock price went from $6,000 to $10,000 per share in a little more than a year. Had you thought that this stock was going to return to its lower initial position, you would have missed out on the subsequent rise to $70,000 per share over the following six years.

5. A Little Knowledge Is Better Than None
Knowing something is generally better than nothing, but it is crucial in the stock market that individual investors have a clear understanding of what they are doing with their money. Investors who really do their homework are the ones that succeed.

Don't fret, if you don't have the time to fully understand what to do with your money, then having an advisor is not a bad thing. The cost of investing in something that you do not fully understand far outweighs the cost of using an investment advisor.

The Bottom Line
Forgive us for ending with more investing clichés, but there's another old adage worth repeating: "What's obvious is obviously wrong." This means that knowing a little bit will only have you following the crowd like a lemming. Like anything worth anything, successful investing takes hard work and effort. Think of a partially informed investor as a partially informed surgeon; the mistakes could be severely injurious to your financial health.

Automated car...

A man ordered for a voice automated robot car that does anything he tells it to do correctly without any error.
He got the car and started sending it on errands. He became very proud of what the car could do without mistakes.
One day, he was home and his wife told him to tell the car to go and pick the children from school as she was very tired.
The man agreed and said to the car; Car, go and bring my children from school.
The car went and didn't return in time as expected, they knew something must be wrong.
Several hours later and no car, the man became apprehensive.
He dressed up and got ready to lodge a report at the police station. As he and his wife stepped outside they saw the car coming with an overload of children.
The car parked right in front of them and said; "These are your children sir". In the car were their Landlady's two daughters, their choir mistress's two sons, his wife's best friend's daughter, their pastor's son and their neighbors two sons.
The Wife said; Don't tell me all these are your children ?.
The man asked her calmly; Can you first tell me why our children are not in the car? :P :D

Tomatoes Businessssss.....

A Jobless man applied for the Job of
"Office boy" at Microsoft
The HR Interviewed him then
watched him cleaning the floor as a
test
"You are employed" He said. "Give
me your E-mail Address and I'll
send you the forms to fill in as well
as when you may start
The Man replied "But I don't have
computer, neither an Email."
"I'm Sorry", said the HR Manager,
"If you don't have an Email, that
means you don't exist. and who
doesn't exist, cannot have the Job."
The man left with no hope at all. He
didn't know what to do with only
$10 in his pocket.
He then decided to go to the
supermarket and buy a 10 kg
Tomato crate.
He then sold the tomatoes in a door
to door round.
In less than two hours, He
succeeded to double his capital. He
repeated the operation three times
and returned home with $ 60
The man realized that he can survive
this way, and started to go everyday
earlier and return late.
Thus his money doubled or tripled
everyday.
Shortly, He brought a cart, then a
truck, then he had his own fleet of
vehicles.
5 years later, this man is one of the
biggest food retailers in the US.
He started to plan his family future,
and decided to have a life
insurance. He called an insurance
broker, and chose a protection plan.
When the conversation was
concluded, the broker asked him his
email. The man replied "I don't have
an email"
The broker answered curiously,"You
don't have an email, and yet have
succeeded to build an empire. Can
you imagine what you could have
been if you had an email?!"
The man thought for a while and
replied,"Yes, I'd be an office boy at
Microsoft" ;)
Moral of the story :
1) INTERNET/Email/Bbm/Whatsapp
is not the solution to your Life
2) If you don't have internet/Email/
Bbm/whatsapp, and work hard, you
can be Millionaire
3) If you received this Message by
Email/Bbm/Whatsapp, you're
probably already an office boy/Girl,
and not any close to being a
Billionaire
P.S : i m starting my business of tomatoes :P :D

If Time Could Rewind ...

Dedicated to all those who completed Training in Infosys with me...

Sometime ago we joined a Company.
to earn few penny and gain some knowledge.
Afar from home in the cold chilly weather
At heaven of Mysore we all got together.

The morning rush with the roommate
Racing the cycle for not getting late
The torture started at the strike of nine
We survived by keeping mails online

The afternoon session was really an overkill
Since Mysore food was indeed a sleeping pill
Submitting the assignments was a total waste
As we followed the magic trick of copy-paste.

The junk forwards continued to flow
We waited whole week for the new movie show
Along with friends when everything was quiet
We roamed around the campus till the late night.

The modules and compre didn’t let us sleep
Some cleared away while others had to weep
Results came out, no more hosting
We had to leave, as per the posting.

Battle for swap then began soon
Mailboxes spammed by every goon
Giving last look to the gratifying paradise
The Infy guests left with the watery eyes.

We all settled down in the different places
Though memories of Mysore left in the traces.
New friends and colleagues now we have made
The old intimacy is slowly going fade

Time gone by since we had a start
Moments of past is stirring my heart
In the noisy world today am losing my mind
The last wish I make, if time could rewind

FABULOUS THOUGHTS.

Life is similar to Boxing game..
Defeat is NOT declared when you fall down;
It is declared when you refuse to ‘Get Up’!

Everything is valuable only at 2 times:
1.    Before getting it; and
2.    After losing it !!

Two things bring happiness & success in life:
1.    The way you MANAGE when you have nothing, and
2.    The way you BEHAVE when you have everything !

Two places are MOST VALUABLE in the world:
1.    The NICEST place is to be in someone’s Thoughts, and
2.    The SAFEST place is to be in someone’s Prayers.

One of the greatest victories you can gain over someone is to beat him at politeness.

Faith is taking the 1st step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase.

Keep your face to the Sun,
And you will not see the shadow!

A Deaf child says: “For all of you, I am deaf;
But for me, all of you are dumb…”
Moral: Life differs in each perspective.  Live the way you want to.

It is always good to check once in a while,
And make sure that
You haven’t lost the things that money cannot buy..!!

Attitude at its best:
My BACK is not a VOICE MAIL..
Kindly say on my FACE.

Ego is the only requirement to destroy any relationship.
Be a bigger person; skip the “E”, and let it “go”..!!

One good thing about Egoists:
They don’t talk about other people!

What is SUCCESS?
It is when your photos are uploaded on GOOGLE,
Instead of FACEBOOK..!!

Do you know why God didn’t give us the gift to read others’ minds?
So that,
We could have the chance to “TRUST”,
And privilege to be “TRUSTED”!

As long as we don’t forgive people who have hurt us,
They occupy a RENT-FREE SPACE IN OUR MIND!

Always keep hoping for good.
Keep a green tree in your heart.
The singing birds will automatically come..!

God always likes to know again and again what you want…
It is not that He forgets your Dreams & Prayers;
But He loves to check your passion towards your desire..!

I asked God: “If everything is already written in Destiny, then WHY should I pray?”
God smiled and said: “I have also written- as you WISH…”!!!

Empty pockets teach millions of things in life…
But full pockets spoil us in million ways !!!

No one in the world is afraid to speak the truth.
Everybody is afraid to face the consequences after the truth is told!

Getting angry is punishing yourself for the mistakes of others!

Trust is like a STICKER.
Once it is removed, it may stick again,
But NOT as strong as it holds when you first applied it..!
Always take care of relations.

Everything about the future is uncertain,
But one thing is sure:
God has already arranged all our tomorrows…
We just have to TRUST HIM TODAY !!

NEVER win people with Arguments, rather defeat with your Smile!
Because people who always wish to Argue with you, cannot bear your Silence !!!

The search for happiness is one of the main source of unhappiness.

Diplomacy is an art of telling people to go to hell in such a way that
they tend to ask you for directions..!!

If a drop of water falls on a Lake, its identity is lost;
If it falls on Lotus leaf, it shines like a Pearl.
Drop is the same; but the company matters.

Our HOPES should be like Hair & Nails.
No matter how many times they get cut,
But they never stop growing.

“F-E-A-R” has two meanings:
1. Forget Everything And Run…
2. Face Everything And Rejoice..!
Choice is ours..!!

If you walk the way guided by humans, you will find hopeless end;
& if you walk the way guided by God, you will find endless hope.

Memories are always special…
Sometimes we laugh by remembering the days we cried;
And we cry by remembering the days we laughed…!!!
That’s Life!

Sea is common for all…
Some take pearls,
Some take fishes,
Some come out just with just wet legs!
World is common to all; what we get, is what we try for!

To smile without condition,
To walk without intention,
To give without reason, &
To care without expectation,
Are the beauties of any Relation!

Life is very complicated…
When you have standards, people call it ATTITUDE;
When you are simple, people try to CHEAT you; &
When you cheat others, people call you SMART!

All communication problems are because
We don’t listen to understand;
We listen to reply…!!

Have a nice Day ???

Developer v/s Tester

ROFL....Dedicated to all Developers and Testers:)

Tester: Hey Developer, I found a bug in your code. listen, just Type a text in
username text box and press enter. Beep sound doesn't appear.

Developer: Is this a bug? I have no requirement that beep
sound should come. Anyway, I will fixed.

After 2 days,

Developer: Hi QA friend, bug is fixed. Please check.

After 2 days,

Tester : I have re-opened the bug because sound is not coming in
some PCs. My colleague is not getting the sound, but Sound is coming in my machine.
why so ?
Fixed it.

After another 2 days,

Developer: This is Not a bug. I found that your colleague has
Old IBM machine. Unlike your DELL machine, IBM machines do not have inbuilt
speakers.

so, Close the bug.

Another 2 days,

Tester : I have re-opened the bug because sound tone is
Different across different machines. Sound is coming as 'BEEP' in my machine, but
My colleague who is having IBM machine is getting the sound as 'TONG'.

Developer: IS this a bug, DAMMNN... What can i do for the bug? The
Two machines are built in such a way that they produce different sounds. Do
You expect the developers to rebuild the IBM processors to make them equal?

Please close the bug.

Another 2 days,

Tester : I have re-opened the bug because intensity of beep on two Dell's machine is different
. My machine produces Beep sound of intensity 10 DB whereas another machine produces
Sound worth 20 DB. Fix your code accordingly and then i will check

Another 2 days later,

Developer: OHHH...it's not a BUG. I have observed that the
Volume set is different on the two machines.please make it same before I get mad and

I BEG you to close the bug.

Another 2 days,

Tester : I have re-opened the bug.

Developer : What ? Why?? What more stupid reasons???

Tester: Sound intensity is different when machines are placed at different buildings. So, I have re-opened it.

After 2 days,

Developer: I need to made some civil scientist to observe the noise intensity of two buildings, i wll let you know.
Please, Please CLOSE it. otherwise i will close myself

After 1 year

Tester : I am re-opeing the bug. During the year, I requested
The clients to arrange two civil scientist to check the buildings but when i test, I found that
intensity of sound still varying. So, I am re-opening the BUG.

Developer : SHITTTT.....I am really mad now.

Tester : We have found another bug, Sound not play when we put machin in VACCUM

Developer : WHAT ??? ??? ???

Result-----------------------
Developer is now in mental hospital while Tester has become QA Manager.

Some Short Stories...

Today, after a 72 hour shift at the fire station, a woman ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug.  When I tensed up, she realized I didn’t recognize her.  She let go with tears of joy in her eyes and the most sincere smile and said, “On 9-11-2001, you carried me out of the World Trade Center.”
************

Today, at the age of 70, my grandfather graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree in business studies.  He’s been a successful business owner most of his life, but he told me he earned his degree to fulfill a promise he made to his mother before she lost her battle with cancer 50 years ago.

************

Today, my mom is a healthy 54 year old who successfully owns and operates a popular bakery downtown – a goal she had all her life.  15 years ago she was diagnosed with cancer.  In the face of death, she quit her store clerk job, opened the bakery, started chemo therapy, and succeeded on all fronts.

************

Today, after I watched my dog get run over by a car, I sat on the side of the road holding him and crying.  And just before he died, he licked the tears off my face.
************

Today, as a young ‘up and coming’ lawyer, everyone in the firm was congratulating me for winning my first big case this morning.  And all day long all I could think about is how I used a technicality in the law to help a murderer walk away a free man.

************

Today, on our 50th wedding anniversary, she smiled at me and said, “I only wish I had met you sooner.”
************

Today, after 2 years of separation, my ex-wife and I resolved our differences and met for dinner.  We laughed and chatted for almost 4 hours.  Then just before she left, she handed me a large envelope.  In it were 20 love letters she wrote me over the last 2 years.  There was a post-it note on the envelope that said, “Letters I was too stubborn to send.”

************

Today, when I slipped on the wet tile floor a boy in a wheelchair caught me before I slammed my head on the ground.  He said, “Believe it or not, that’s almost exactly how I injured my back 3 years ago.”

************

Today, someone else’s tragedy provided the miracle my family had prayed for.  Thanks to this stranger, my dad will have a heart.  It’s so odd to think that an accidental death just saved his life.

************

Today at 7AM I woke up feeling ill, but decided I needed the money, so I went in to work.  At 3PM I got laid off.  On my drive home I got a flat tire.  When I went into the trunk for the spare, it was flat too.  A man in a BMW pulled over, gave me a ride, we chatted, and then he offered me a job.  I start tomorrow.

************

Today, I was working in a coffee shop when 2 gay men walked in holding hands.  As you might expect, heads started turning.  Then a young girl at the table next to me asked her mom why 2 men were holding hands.  Her mom replied, “Because they love each other.”

************

Today, after the funeral, I went back to my parent’s empty house – the house I grew up in.  As I gazed around in awe of all the great memories we made in it, I noticed an old photo of my parent’s in their 20’s sitting on the coffee table.  In my father’s handwriting, across the back was written, “In this moment, we were infinite.”

************

Today, as I walked away from the airport gate alone with my head held high and eyes beet red from crying, I knew at that moment what it meant to be a military wife.

************

Today, a lady walked up to me in the gym and asked me to give her some workout pointers.  She said, “You look incredible!  Watching you gradually tone-up and progress in here has become my primary inspiration to get in shape.”  It made me smile because I’ve struggled with my weight since I was 15.

************

Today, my grandpa died.  As I was crying and telling my grandma how sorry I was, she said, “Let’s stop being so sad and instead celebrate the 80 wonderful years he was alive… 60 of which he spent with me.”

************

Today, as my father, three brothers, and two sisters stood around my mother’s hospital bed, my mother uttered her last coherent words before she died.  She simply said, “I feel so loved right now.  We should have gotten together like this more often.”

BEST LAWYER STORY OF THE YEAR, DECADE AND PROBABLY THE CENTURY.

Charlotte, North Carolina.

A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars then insured them against, among other things, fire.Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company.
In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost 'in a series of small fires.'
The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued.... and WON!

(Stay with me now......... .. ......... ......... )

Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous!!
The judge stated nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company, in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fire, without defining what is considered to be 'unacceptable fire', and was thus obligated to pay the claim.
So, rather than endure a lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling, and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the cigars lost in the 'fires'.

(NOW FOR THE BEST PART........ ....... )

After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!!
With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of 'intentionally burning his insured property' and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine.

This was the First Place winner in the Criminal Lawyers Award Contest.

LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!

A Must Read Love Story...

Hi Rahul.. This is my new number. Sheela here.. how r u? Loooong time! "

I am Arun Kumar, doing my 2nd year engineering and living in a hostel
in one of those million engineering colleges in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu.
I had just received an SMS with the above text at around midnight.
Basically being a barren land when it comes to girls, I was not sure
how to react to that message. It was pretty obvious that the message
was not intended for me but I didnt want to let go of this
opportunity. A thousand questions ran through my mind as I looked at
the SMS for the 197th time in 5 minutes. Should I reply saying Im not
Rahul? Should I call that number? Should I ignore the message? What if
its an attu piece? Damn! Ive never strained my brain so much in my
life. Finally I decided to temporarily ignore the message. Firstly, I
didnt want to portray myself as too desperate by replying immediately,
and secondly, it would give me time to think..

After a lot of deliberation, I decided to reply next morning from
class. Hi Sheela.. sorry for the late reply.. had slept yesterday.. Im
doin great.. wazzup with u? Yes, I had done what Madhavan did in
Minnale. I knew I was no Maddy in looks, but how would she ever find
out through a phone? Nervous and struggling to concentrate in class, I
waited for a reply from Sheela. After a wait of around 20 minutes
which seemed like an eternity, I received an SMS.

Hey! Im good 2...slept so soon?? I thot guys in IIT hostels dont sleep
so early! Anyways, no problems..:).. where r u now? Bunked class? Its
been ages since we spoke.. I guess we didnt talk after the school
farewell??

IIT. A mini explosion took place in my heart. IIT enga naa enga? No
wonder she had messaged Rahul after a looooong time! But I decided to
carry on. Confident machi.. confident I said to myself and replied:

Yeah guys in IIT hostels dont sleep early. But you know Im not one of
those nerds ;).. and yeah.. a looong time indeed..madam suddenly
became super-busy after school :P

Somehow, my hands automatically made me use smileys. Pretty soon I
received a reply and we started exchanging messages at a faster rate.

Ha ha! Me and busy? No way! And you not a nerd eh? Then how did u get
to IIT in the first place :P?

Still trying to find out the answer. I actually asked my professor
after I joined here. He said shit happens once in a while.. I guess
that answers it ;)

LOL. Im literally rolling on the floor and laughing uncontrollably.
HAHAHA! came the reply.

Was it that funny? Anyways, a part of me felt proud and happy to have
made a girl laugh. The confidence urged me to continue.

Chuck that. Hey btw..wazzup with u? What you doin these days?Im sorry
I forgot.. you know IIT guys tend to have short term memory loss ;)

Ah..but i thot you were not the typical IIT guy?? :P Im like you.. in
the process of wasting 4 years of my life.. I mean Im doing
engineering..but not in the IIT! LOL

I had succeeded in my first step - to get some details. But why was
she LOL-ing? Whatever. I decided to LOL too. Thought it would sound
rude otherwise.

LOL. Yeah I guessed you would be doing engineering.. and Yeah not many
people waste their lives in IITs ;) Its reserved for the special
(un)lucky ones!

Haha! You are in IIT and you are complaining? But its logical - guys
in IIT are never satisfied.. thats why you end up in IIT in the first
place!

I went and stood near a mirror. The person from the other end stared
back at me and had a million expressions. Some of them being :

* This face ku IIT too much.
* This face ku IIT too much.
* This face ku IIT too much.
* This face ku IIT too much.
* Have you ever seen an IIT campus?
* Have you ever seen an IIT campus?
* Have you ever seen an IIT campus?
* You still have 3 arrears left.
* You still have 3 arrears left.
* You still have 3 arrears left.

But I decided to carry on. Confident machi..confident.

Oh what a brainy girl..you deserve to be in the IIT :P

No thanks. Im happy this way. And hey btw.. how did u find out that I
would be doing engineering too??

Oh..that..Its only natural for anyone to jump into engineering after
12th standard right? Especially for girls..enroll in some engineering
college.. slog for 4 years... outperform the boys.. draw margins in
assignments.. submit assignments a day in advance.. block 2-3 jobs
when the guys struggle to get one.. and then finally give up the jobs
to marry some rich guy from America.. this is the life-routine for
most girls in Tamilnadu right? :P

Ooooohh.. why dont you give some figures about how many girls take up
engineering... how many go on to get jobs.. how many get married to
America maapilais?  That would be interesting..:P

You think Im captain Vijaykanth or what? ;) I am weak in those statistics!

LOL. You are a funny guy. Anyways.. i got to go.. nice convo after a
long time.. bye bye

It was indeed a nice convo, not after a long time - but for the first
time. I just realised that I had spent almost the entire morning
session in messaging her. There are a few ways to check if your
kadalai session went well - First, you should lose track of time.
Second and most important: you should not remember what you spoke. I
succeeded in both and found myself smiling - for no reason.

*****************

The next few weeks saw me completely addicted to my mobile phone. I
took it everywhere I went. Literally everywhere. You usually have an
entire lifetime to waste when you are in an engineering college and I
made maximum use of it. My daily routine was simple:
1. Wake up in the morning and either send or receive messages like :

Morning Coolness,
Rising Sun,
Singing Birds,
Melting Dew,
Along With This
Little Heart
Wishing You A Very
Glorious Good Morning.

2. Go to class and continue messaging

3. Go for lunch.

4. Send/receive messages like :

Give laugh to all but smile to ONE.
Give love to all but heart to ONE.
Give life to all but live for ONE..
Have a cool evening.

5. Continue messaging

6. Continue messaging

7. Send/ Receive messages like:
In this lovely night,
I pray to the sweet moon to protect you through the night,
The wind to blow away your worries,
and,
the twinkle stars to guide you the way,
Sweet dreams and Good Night.

Who are you messaging at 2 AM da? Raj, my roomie asked me suddenly.

Taken aback, I stuttered and replied Not messaging da.. playing a game
on the phone.. not getting sleep so just killing time

Ooooho.. sounds very convincing.. show me your phone.. Ill also play
the game.. even am unable to sleep

Battery low machaan.. got switched off just now.. gonna sleep
now..gnite, I said and immediately deleted my inbox.

There was no way I could tell my friends what I was up to. There are
some drawbacks of being a gethu gang ( member in college - you were
not allowed to talk to girls. Friends would first tease you. Then warn
you not to trust girls. Then ignore you. Then abuse you. The guys in
hostel would think I was some villain and leave me out of their plans.
I was not going to let that happen to me.

Hey.. gotta go now..ill be dead if my friends find out im messaging a
girl so late in the night..dont ask me why.. thats how these idiots
are in hostels :(.. do not reply.. ive deleted my inbox.. will msg you
tomo.. gnite! I sent her an SMS before sleeping.

The addiction got worse each day. I ignored food, I ignored sleep, I
ignored my studies. All I cared in life was the SMS from her. I
succeeded in almost everything - I got to know about her, I got to
know about Rahul, I made her get addicted to her mobile as much as I
was to mine. But there were a few questions which I couldnt find
answers to. Firstly, is this love? Secondly, is she an attu figure or
good figure? Thirdly, how and when am I going to tell her the truth?

The second question didnt really matter because I was too addicted to
her anyways. The only problems seemed to be the 1st and 3rd questions,
and there was only one way I was going to find answers to those -
ignore her. Time would solve my confusions, I thought and started
ignoring her. Yes, I decided to stop sending or replying to her
messages from then on.

It was easier said that done though. My hands would itch to grab the
mobile and send her a message - especially when I was sitting bored in
a stupid lecture. The first 2-3 days were very extremely difficult. I
would get a forward or two from her, which I read and ignored. If the
first few days were difficult, the next 2-3 were unbearable.

Hey.. wassup?, Hey..too busy or what? showing off that you are an
IIT-an to me eh? Thought you were not one of those nerds? ;) , This is
why I HATE IIT!. These were a few messages that I got from her. She
would never receive a reply.

A week passed, and it was getting clearer to me that I couldnt live
without her. The first question was answered. Call it love. Cal it
friendship. Call it whatever. I wanted to talk to her. But the week
also taught me an important thing - that I cant continue this for
long. I HAD to tell her the truth. But how could I suddenly give her
such a shock? What if she stops talking to me? What if she goes to the
cops? A million questions ran through my mind when my phone beeped.

Hi.. look I dont know what happened to you all of a sudden.. its been
a while since you contacted me.. I dont understand why you are
avoiding me..but let me tell you one thing.. I dont think I can be
normal without messaging you..I dont know what else to say.. all I can
say is plzzz reply! Miss u :(

I was happy and sad. I was happy that she missed me. I was sad that I
had put her through this. An important question had just been
answered. She indeed felt the same way I did. But there was an
important and unanswered question. How will she react when I tell her
the truth? After all, I was neither Rahul nor an IIT-an. Continue
acting - told a part of me. Tell her the truth, said another. I
decided not to think. I took my phone, closed my eyes and typed as
fast as I could.

Look Sheela.. I have a confession to make.. I dont know how to say
this. I am not the guy who you think I am. I am not Rahul. My name is
Arun Kumar. I do not study in IIT. I am just another engineering
student in just another engineering college like you. I realised the
very first day you messaged me that I was not the intended recipient
but decided to carry on. I know I was being cheap, but I didnt think
it was wrong. It started as a timepass thing but it became much more
than that over the weeks.. I dunno if you are fair. I dunno if u r
fat. I dunno if u r good looking. I dunno if u r ugly. But I do know
that I dont care. All I care about is YOU. And yes, I do know that I
love you. You can choose to swear at me. You can choose to reject me.
You can choose to accept me. But please do not choose to ignore
me...(i dont know what smiley to use)..

I sent the message. I didnt bother to read it again. My eyes remained
close till I heard the next beep.

Look Arun. I too have a confession to make.. I dont know how to say
this. I am not the girl who you think I am. I am not Sheela. I am Raj
- your roomie. Please come immediately to the next room.. all of us
are waiting for you :D :D :D
